This track is going to be huge...

I've been a fan and supporter of 'The Glitch Mob' for years now. And I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but I've always felt such a deep and meaningful connection to their music. I feel inspired and hopeful. not just because they are using technology to create and express themselves, which they do brilliantly- but in my opinion, it's the collaborative aspect that truly elevates them to the next level. by working with other artists, musicians and fans their work is allowed to evolve, transform and be discovered. And if more people begin to see technology being the foundation for that- the same technology that they see and use every day, then maybe they'll want to learn and do more (like RTFM). And then things will get better. I believe and know that to be true. And since it's the holiday weekend, and depending on where you live, I encourage you to experience the full harmonic range of your digital audio system. a few minutes ago, I personally measured a frequency response of 5hz. while playing this track. Enjoy.

You gonna feel it because he brought it, and crushed it

DJ S.P.E.C.T.R.E. delivers bass heavy party music combining glitch hop, dubstep and beyond with a flare for the unexpected. Seamless blending of styles and tempos and on the fly mash-ups has made him a crowd favorite in Colorado. This live performance was recorded at the Jungle Bums October 2010 party in Boulder, CO.

I'm on the guest laptop here at chez-cecelee

And i want to throw these links up real quik because I've already been out all night pre-occupied with irritation, and old as fuck dell poweredge server NIC-cards that won't roll back and vista profiles that act and behave a lot like children that  have had too much sugar, and I'll be damned if I have to walk home with the sun glaring in my eyes, again.

But that's not the point. Links. here. now

DJ CescOzone

Free MP3's For Download
All I was looking for was a song. 'Under' by Brian Eno. But my Search Query
Which looked like this:
brian eno under intitle:"index.of" "parent directory" "size" "last modified" "description" [snd] (mp4|mp3|avi) -inurl:(jsp|php|html|aspx|htm|cf|shtml|lyrics|mp3s|mp3|index) -gallery -intitle:"last modified" -intitle:(intitle|mp3)
wasn't working like quite right, and part of the problem is that my "previously owned' Apple Extended Keyboard I
purchased yesterday (from Salvation Army on Broadway for $6.99) has a dead shift key that I know of so far. And even though this post will direct you to a Myspace page- the tracks aren't half bad for three year old australian house mixes.
And that project with Isaac.... well I'll let him tell you about it, after I call him and setup a time to get together this afternoon.
And I poached this graphic from one of the ftp directories the Australian DJ;s archive their tracks
Enjoy.

Why I don't use Facebook, even though I like 'The Social Network'

Tomorrow I'm eagerly anticipating yet another poignant and astute conversation with Isaac.  When he and I spoke earlier this evening, our conversation was just getting to the good part. Which is why i'm posting this entry and postponing my visit with Kado.  I should however, let you know that I'm not going to summarize at this time. Be patient, he hasn't even seen the movie yet. But I have a plan. Tomorrow while I'm doing some tech support on a laptop, I'll sit him down and let him watch 'The Social Network'
(I got a real nice 480p divx version from a DVD Screener, and i can live with myself and sleep just fine knowing that I'm going to do a formal review/critique of the movie in the next couple of days) which brings me to part 2 of the plan: setup Isaac's desktop computer with a webcam and introduce him to podcasting. This is something that he's been wanting to do for awhile, and as soon as i post this, I'm going to get a webcam that will fit/form/function. So since this is my plan, i'm going to go ahead and wrap things up by saying that over the weekend I intend to post the inaugural podcast. I'm going to throw a widget in here because. Think of the songs I posted earlier this evening as a teaser or preview, which isn't accurate or true. I arranged the widget so that the latest uploads are at the top (and are timestamped and tagged because rich metadata matters to me) feel free to comment, or not. Stream, download and share. I'll even post to twitter, and more than likely remain apathetic to facebook, and i'll continue to support and incorporate zemanta (as long as it compliments, not complicate my plan). TO BE CONTINUED

The Glitch Mob on TripleJ - Check it out

I admit, I watch CSI: Miami, and I was pleasantly surprised to hear the track 'Drive it like you stole it' from my boys The Glitch Mob. Check it out here, and if you like that, you'll love this.

This guy is cool

I must've downloaded a couple hundred megs off his server. I was real happy to find tracks from Otis Redding. It was earlier this evening and it put me in a much better mood especially since i made commitments to do stuff that doesn't really matter- but it falls into the administrative-related network cleanup that I'd rather ignore, like the dishes in the sink.

It is important to note that it i only went to the home page (where I'm linking the pic from) accidentally. I was, after all trying to setup my download manager to avoid the DNS overhead ;) and I did take a moment to read the intro. I liked it because it was poignant and modest.  This is the important part : his directory structure and naming conventions were logical, organized and clear. And that makes you cool.

And now an unscheduled retrospective on teen angst (High School, 1990)

I was to be enrolled in my third high school. I was going to be a junior in the fall. All of my friends were back in Michigan. I had just moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Actually it was Clemmons, NC- but the public schools were; a joke. [At the time North Carolina was ranked 49th, guess who was 50th: South Carolina.] In the few weeks I was in public school I discovered it was 'that a student could receive an excused absence if they were harvesting tobacco. I couldn't figure out why people kept asking me why I wanted to join the swim team, I made varsity my freshman year- it said so on my jacket from Bloomfield Hills Andover.  I experienced racism for the first time on a concious level as it was subconciously projected onto me; especially by other black students. So I took a job at a summer camp: Asst. Ecology and Enviormnetal director at Lost Lake Scout Reservation in Michigan. Our family was going to be driving back to Michigan  in a couple of days: and I made a bunch of mixtapes (like 30 or 40). One of the was a Depeche Mode mix. Earlier tonight while putting the final touches on Isaac's new workstation-  I happened to come across this MegaMix by KernFusion, and I want to share it, and strongly urge you to download the file by following this link.
